Greetings!
Chances are, you're here because you have at some point in your life reinvented the wheel and thought…
Why am I doing this? Surely somebody should have created something on which I can use.
Well you are in good company. The idea for this entire site was created by people who thought exactly the same thing you are thinking now. Wouldn't it be amazing to have a hub of documents, listings, plans, slide shows, flow charts for all things ERP? It doesn't matter what the technology is. If you're implementing an ERP, you're implementing an ERP. All accounting systems fundamentally work the same way. All human resources systems work the same way. The backbones of all organizations are inherently the same. They face the same problems; they go through the same challenges. They go through the same processes.
Why would you reinvent the wheel? And if you do this for a living if you implement ERP for a living, you basically go through the same craft the same documents, create the same flow charts over and over and over again.
Who creates these templates? Where do they come from? And… Are they legit?
Short answer is yes. These templates were created and used by people who have participated in ERP implementation throughout the years. The technology of the ERP technology might be different, and in many cases are. However the same types of deliverables are applied to whether or not you were implementing an Oracle Cloud ERP project, SAP, or any other ERP technology with equivalent functionality.
The people who created and publish these templates for your use own their intellectual property and are either willing to share it with you freely, or ask for a nominal fee in return.
Full Disclaimer. The ultimate accountability rests on you. It is fully on you to determine whether or not these templates (or whatever you’re using from the site) will suit your needs. If it does, you are more than welcome to use it for your purposes. What you cannot, however, do is blame us or the original template author if it turned out unsuitable for your needs or if you get in trouble. The truth is that there are a vast number of documents published here that may not suit your purposes. You are the one to determine that. You take the full responsibility in how you end up using the template.
We’re all big boys and girls here. Be kind. Don’t be a jerk.
Why Would you Share all Your Good Stuff? What's the catch?
Let’s be honest. Traditionally IT consultants are a selfish lot. They don’t at all like to share. Instead, they squirrel away documents to which they have the intellectual property to be used on a future project. There. The secret’s out.
It’s time to stop thinking so small and so short-sighted. As a consultant, you are used to trading your time and skill for money. At first it’s great. The money is fantastic, the travel is glamorous.
Eventually as you put a few more cycles into this industry, you start to get sick of doing the same old thing over and over again. The travel starts to wear on you. You start to wonder how many more projects you can possibly be on. You start to think about your exit strategy.
Where’s the light at the end of the tunnel?
That’s partly the reason for this site. This is a safe space where people can share their ideas, and what brought them success. At the same time it creates a little bit of passive income for the those who choose to publish their templates to help others.
Helping Others Helps You. It always has.
Ultimately, the vision is that this is a technical bazaar of sorts, focusing on all things related to Enterprise Resource Planning.
The wonderful thing about sharing is that when more and more people collaborate and contribute ideas, you will start to see the quality of deliverables getting better and better… in turn eventually elevating the overall ERP industry… sending it on an upward spiral forever and ever.
What if I have an amazing Something that I would like to share or sell?
That’s fantastic! We invite you to submit it to us for review. If it passes our quality process, we will arrange an agreement with you to either publish the template for free or to so that you can charge a reasonable fee of your choosing.
The lowest two barriers that you must to which you must qualify:
- You must own the intellectual property rights to whatever you publish here. This means that you cannot rip off any documents or deliverables that you might have created for your client in the past and try to sell it here. We are not responsible for policing your intellectual property. There is absolutely no way that we can tell whether or not you are the true owner of that document. So we ask you to exercise good morality and ethics when doing so. Quite frankly if you are in the wrong, they sue you, not us.
- The template must be related to enterprise resource planning. It could be a template that is applicable for implementing a module in an ERP, or something that is used postproduction. At this point in time, the scope of this bazaar revolves only around ERP.
